A Small Spanish 20-Bore Miquelet-Lock Pistol
Late 18th/Early 19th Century

With two-stage barrel turned at the muzzle and girdle, octagonal breech with seven brass-inlaid marks and inscribed 'Miquelet' along the left flat, engraved tang, plain lock, full stock carved with foliage behind the barrel tang, foliate engraved brass mounts held by brass tacks and comprising side-plate, escutcheon and spurred pommel each with applied silver medallion roughly chased with a helmeted male portrait bust, foliate engraved brass trigger-guard and pierced rear ramrod mount, and brass fore-end strap (ramrod missing, some wear and rust patination)
