A Continental 28-Bore Percussion Target Pistol
No. 484, Mid-19th Century

With twist octagonal sighted barrel (refurbished) rifled with fourteen grooves, foliate scroll engraved tang incorporating the remains of a back-sight, border engraved flat detented lock decorated with foliate scrollwork, the hammer and mounts en suite, the last comprising shaped pommel drawn-out to a flat oval, spur trigger-guard, and figured half-stock with fluted butt (broken through and repaired)
