With swamped octagonal sighted barrel rifled with six grooves and stamped with initials 'TR' at the breech, plain long tang, characteristic lock with applied brass plates beneath the bridle to the cock-spring and over the rear of the chiselled mainspring each engraved with foliage involving a profile head, arched wheel bracket, sliding pan-cover with release button and engraved with foliage, and pierced cock engraved with foliage, fruitwood full stock with characteristic butt inlaid with staghorn panels variously engraved with designs of foliage and ropework, sliding patch-box cover en suite, foliate engraved horn ramrod-pipe and fore-end cap, iron trigger-guard indented for the fingers, horn butt-plate with faceted iron button, and original horn-tipped ramrod
