A Rare 16-Bore Flintlock 1760/78 Pattern Royal Forester's Light Dragoon Pistol
Dated 1786

With barrel engraved 'P-T' at the breech, plain tang (retaining screw missing), border engraved flat bevelled lock (cock missing) with 'GR' crowned and 'Tower' across the tail, figured full stock (chipped in front of the lock) carved with a rudimentary shell behind the barrel tang and stamped with inspector's mark, dated Ordnance Storekeeper's mark and 'W' over '46' behind the tail of the lock, regulation brass mounts (trigger-guard tang broken) including shaped bevelled side-plate of 'Blues' pattern, shaped escutcheon numbered '129', and spurred pommel, brass ramrod-pipe, and brass-tipped ramrod, King's proof marks
