A Prussian 17MM 1841 Model Breech-Loading Needle-Fire Military Rifle
No. 4222, Dated 1858

With sighted barrel rifled with four wide grooves and retained by three spring-held brass barrel bands, the forward one also forming the ramrod-entry, octagonal breech with folding back-sight and struck with crowned inspector's marks along one side, dated bolt action struck with 'Spandau' arsenal mark, full stock with cheek-piece and stamped with crowned inspector's marks on the right of the butt, regulation mounts including brass spur trigger-guard, sling loops, and original iron ramrod
