With curved broad blade double-edged towards the clipped point, each face with shallow single fuller stamped 'Maria' repeated thrice on the front and twice on the back, and with ricasso stamped 'IHS', the back-edge bordered on each face by a line of notched zig-zags, iron hilt comprising cusped flattened vertically recurved quillons, the front one forming the knuckle-guard, two oval shells, one turned up, the other down, cusped flattened beaked pommel with faceted globular button, and wire-bound wooden grip
