With sharply tapering double-edged blade of flattened diamond section, tapering rectangular ricasso retaining its leather covering, iron hilt of flattened bars comprising vertically recurved quillons widening at the tips, the forward one forming a knuckle-guard, large side-ring on the outside with pinched-in central feature, arms linked on the outside by a small half-ring and with two upturned bars filling the gap between it and the side-rings, inner heart-shaped guard linked to the quillons by a slender ring-guard above, flattened ovoidal pommel with button finial, and original diagonally fluted wooden grip retaining the remains of a brass Turk's head (russet overall)
