The first with colichemarde blade of sharply tapering hollow triangular section with very faint traces of etching on both sides of the forte, hilt comprising shell-guard, quillon-block and globular pommel with button, all finely pierced with chiselled foliate scrolls centred on star-like motifs, fluted lobed rear quillon, arms and knuckle-guard, the last chiselled with foliage, and grip with later wire binding; the second with earlier tapering blade (shortened, some pitting) stamped 'Francisco Viz In Toledo' within the fullers over each side at the forte, brass hilt of characteristic form, and swelling grip bound with twisted silver wire (2)
