Early 19th Century

With sharply tapering blade (rust patinated) of flattened diamond section etched and gilt over half its length on both sides at the forte with foliage against the remains of a blued ground, one side involving a martial trophy, and ivory hilt comprising turned quillons with button terminals, tapering grip formed as a column with three bands of turned circles each centred on a dot, and domed fluted pommel with button finial
