Two Lapplanders Sheath-Knives
Northern Scandinavia

The first with roughly wrought single-edged blade, and grip of ovoidal section formed from shins of reindeer bone and leather, in its two-piece reindeer bone scabbard with engraved decoration, waved central piercing on the outside, and leather throat mount; the second of similar form, the grip with pommel carved as a bird's head, the scabbard engraved with a reindeer and geometric ornament on the outside (2)
