The first with bright fullered blade etched with maker's details, royal arms, crowned 'GRV' cypher and foliage along one side, and with gilt-lined proof mark, battle honours and foliage along the other, regulation pierced nickle-plated hilt with characteristic applied brass decoration and crowned regimental cypher on the guard, and ribbed wire-bound fishskin-covered grip, in original nickle-plated scabbard (minor loss of finish) with brass mounts each carrying a ring for suspension; the second with curved pipe-back blade (light pitting) with spear point, regulation brass hilt of fluted bars incorporating a crowned 'GRIV' in an oval, and ribbed wire-bound fishskin-covered grip (worn overall) (2)
