The first with tapering fullered single-edged blade (some rust patination) etched and gilt against a blued ground on one side at the forte with a trophy between foliage, and on the other with crowned 'GR' cypher and foliage above an oval etched 'Cooper And Banks Birmingham Warranted', regulation gilt-brass hilt with double shell-guard, the inner one folding against a spring, rear quillon and faceted pommel each cast and chased with foliage, and silver grip simulating wire binding; the second with slightly curved pipe-back blade with spear point, the forte etched with panels of foliage involving the royal arms one side, and a crowned fouled anchor on the other, regulation gilt-brass half-basket guard of simulated bars incorporating a crowned fouled anchor, folding inner-guard, cast and chased lion's head pommel with faceted back-piece, and wire-bound fishskin-covered grip (2)
