An Indo-Arab 20-Bore Matchlock Gun
18th/19th Century, Possibly Malabar (Coorg)

With European export sighted barrel cut with longitudinal lines along its entire length and stamped 'Oasbasbo' twice along the top flat at the octagonal breech, arched standing back-sight, pan with pivoting cover, iron side-plates with notched borders, extending along the full length of the three-quarter stock on both sides and secured by transverse iron pins on circular brass washers, hardwood three-quarter stock entirely covered with iron along the fore-end, the butt with block-shaped terminal and decorated with lines of carved circles within line borders, line engraved copper and brass mounts, two suspension rings, and iron ramrod
