After Kano Natsuo, late 19th century
The mokkogata tsuchimeji plate with a slightly raised rim and decorated on the obverse with a carp swimming among water weeds, the reverse showing the surface of the water from which lotus blossoms emerge, all rendered in takabori, shishiaibori, kebori, copper hirazogan and gold and silver takazogan, inscribed Natsuo and with kao 3 1/2in (8cm) long
