Hirazukuri, iorimune forged in itame hada with a midare tempered edge, tang ubu with one hole and indistinct file marks, copper and gilt one-piece habaki with a paulownia flower in gold and shakudo hirazogan, signed Kanemoto, 8 1/16in (20.6cm) long; the koshirae comprising a saya lacquered to resemble stained wood, fitted with a stag horn kozuka, the tsuka mounted with dragon menuki in copper with gilt highlights
