A suit of armor with a russet-iron yokohagi okegawa cuirass
18th century
Laced in blue with orange and white highlights and comprising a russet-iron momonari kabuto with eyebrows hammered up on the mabizashi and fitted with a wide five-lame shikoro lacquered black, the top lame terminating in black-lacquer fukigaeshi trimmed with gilt-copper fukurin, the maedate fashioned form a rack of stag antlers with a shakudo mount; the reisei men lacquered brown and with a stiff bristle mustache and fitted with a three-lame yodarekake fastened with stenciled doe skin; the cuirass a russet-iron yokohagi okegawa do with scalloped edges on the top of the plates and exposed rivets, the surface worked in file marks, fitted with seven sections of four-lame kusazuri; chu-sode; shinogote; Etchu haidate; shino suneate; no armor box; no stand
