A fine cloisonne enamel vase
By the workshop of Hayashi Kodenji (1831-1915), late 19th century
Of elongated ovoid form and worked in gold and silver wire on a dark blue ground with pairs of birds in a flowering landscape in multicolored enamels above a floral lappet band, the yellow ground foliate-patterned collar defining the neck repeated on the circular foot, with silver rims, the base with the lozenge-shaped studio mark and signed Aichi Hayashi saku
With a wood storage box lined with a gilt floral-patterned brocade fabric and with two ink stamps of the Hayashi Company
