A low black-lacquer serving table

By Kamisaka Sekka (1866-1942) and Kamisaka Yukichi (1886-1938)
The low table assembled with arched end supports pierced with stylized pine tree designs and decorated with a simple motif of flowing water in gold hiramakie, dots of foam rendered in inlaid mother-of-pearl, all against roiro-nuri ground

With wood storage box inscribed Suehirogata mizumakie hirotaku and Sekka gasso an, and signed Heian makieshi Yukichi saku and sealed Yu 18 1/8 x 12 1/2 x 3 1/8in (46 x 32 x 8cm)
