An ivory netsuke of Ebisu and Daikoku on a large sea bream
Late 19th century
Carved as the gods Ebisu with a fishing pole on his shoulder and a basket of fish at his side, and Daikoku, kneeling and coaxing to rats to join them on top of a large sea bream, the large fish's eyes inlaid in dark horn and the details fine carved and stained dark, illegibly signed in a red-lacquer tablet []zan 1 7/8in (4.8cm) wide
