The first by Sho'unsai Joryu; the second by Tomochika, 19th century
The first carved as three of the Immortal Poets seated playing go, the details stained dark, signed Shounsai Joryu; the second carved as travelers on a river boat, featuring a horse and groom; a monkey trainer whose monkey is playing with court cap of a distressed courtier; and several Geisha, signed Tomochika 1 1/2in (3.7cm); 2 1/8in (5.4cm) wide
