By Hokyudo Itsumin, mid-late 19th century
Carved as a snake slithering through various apertures of a skull, finished to resemble the natural surface of bone and the skin of the viper, eyes inlaid in dark horn, signed on the reverse Hokyudo Itsumin to 2 1/4in (5.7cm) high
