Footnotes

Provenance:
Sotheby's, 1 March 1994, lot 203

Literature:
Lloyd (2000), p.55, pl.68(b) and p.52

It is particularly rare to find this combination of gilding and engraving on a colour-twist wine glass. The addition of the airtwist makes it even more unusual.
