An engraved and gilt colour-twist wine glass, circa 1770
The ogee bowl decorated with fruiting vine, the reverse with an insect below a gilt-edged rim, the stem with multi-spiral airtwist corkscrew core within two ruby red and cobalt blue threads, conical foot, 14.2cm high

It is particularly rare to find this combination of gilding and engraving on a colour-twist wine glass. The addition of the airtwist makes it even more unusual.
