An unusual and rare engraved opaque-twist wine glass, circa 1770
The bell bowl decorated with three female masks suspending swags of fruit above fan and stylised flower ornament issuing from a band of raised stiff leaves with incised veining, dot and star border beneath the rim, the double-series stem with gauze core entwined by spiral threads and deeply cut with a spiral twist to the underside to stepped conical foot with band of oeil-de-perdrix divided by radiating lines with waved rim, 15.8cm high
