Evan Hunter - Participant's Medal

A circular bronze medal, to the obverse with female figure, the reverse with Olympic rings and "Vmes JEUX D'HIVER St. MORITZ 1948", complete with original maroon presentation case imprinted with makers stamp "HUGUENIN Medilleurs LE LOCLE", 40mm. in diameter

The 1948 Winter Olympics, officially known as the V Olympic Winter Games, was celebrated in 1948 in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The Games were the first to be held after World War II, twelve years since the last Winter Games in 1936.
