1964 Tokyo

Black cast alloy holder, inscribed on the top "XVlll Olympiad Tokyo 1964" with the Olympic Rings, together with the stainless steel torch shaft etched with the Tokyo Olympic logo, by Showa Kaseihin Co. Ltd., 690mm. high

Footnotes

After a relay in Greece, the flame was carried in a special aircraft to twelve Asian cities on it's way to Japan. A relay of 4374 runners then carried the torch throughout the country to Tokyo.
