Picturesque Tour from Geneva to Milan, by way of the Simplon. London: R. Ackermann, 1820.
4to (270 x 183 mm). [8], 136, [2], pp + 8 pp publisher's catalog. Engraved frontispiece plan and 36 hand-colored aquatint views. Publisher's quarter leather with board sides, rebacked with original gilt spine laid down. Custom clamshell case. Some offsetting from plates including to title, spotting to frontis, textblock weak at center, small tear to cloth at joint.
Provenance: William Burrell (period ownership inscription); property of Michael Lerner.

FIRST EDITION. 1819 & 1820 watermarks to several plates.
