An ivory and gold kagamibuta

The bowl by Ryuso, the plate by Ozawa Shuraku, mid 19th century
The bowl carved and pierced with a mass of peony blooms and foliage in stained ivory, signed in an oval reserve Ryuso; the solid gold plate in the form of a recumbent curled shishi, signed Shuraku with kao. 3.9cm (1½in).
