Bearing a fundame ground, lacquered with three Chinese sages, one riding on a tiger through turbulent water, one standing on a floating straw hat and the third seated on a rock, in rich gold takamakie with hirame details, the interior of nashiji, signed Heisensai; with copper ojime, inlaid in gilt with a tiger and dragon; and a lacquered bamboo netsuke of a recumbent tiger, unsigned. 8.5cm (3 3/8in).
