A Mennecy silver-mounted snuff box in the form of a lady, circa 1754-60
Modelled lying on a grassy base with her head resting on cannon barrels, a drum and cannon balls, carrying a baton in her right hand, her dress with puce and yellow bodice and flower-decorated skirt, the cover painted on each side with a flower spray, the mount with discharge mark for Eloy Brichard, Paris, 1756-62, and crowned T for Paris, 1759-60, 7.5cm across
