A Meissen silver-gilt-mounted oval snuff-box, circa 1755
The base, cover and inside cover painted with scenes depicting Saxon miners at work, the cover depicting an inspector-general with the 'AR' monogram on his hat, the sides of the cover and box painted with flower sprigs, the mount with a floral thumbpiece, 6.6cm across; 3.1cm high
