A Louis XVI style gilt bronze and marble mantel clock
Alfred Beurdeley
late 19th century

The arched case surmounted by a ribbon tied laurel wreath and cornucopia spilling flowers and fruit, the circular white enamel dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, inscribed A. Beurdeley A Paris, the twin train movement with outside count wheel striking on a bell, the backplate stamped BD and numbered 26 and 69, all resting on a base in the form of an Ionic capital, on marble plinth with cast ornament and rectangular base on bun feet.
