A set of four George III paint decorated armchairs
circa 1810

The backs with turned crest rail and pierced latticework horizontal splat above shaped arm supports with caned paneled seats and loose cushions, raised on ring turned tapered legs, one chair stamped BT to the underside.

Almost certainly the above four armchairs are from a set of ten made for the youngest daughter of George III, Princess Amelia. Later the chairs are believed to have been used in the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. See Margaret Jourdain, Regency Furniture 1795-1830, Country Life Limited: London, 1965, p. 46, fig. 69.
