A lacquer three-case inro

By Kimura Jukkyoku, 18th century
In the form of a Chinese ink cake, carved in relief with a Chinese bronze bowl of peaches, attached to branches with roots trailing beneath, the reverse with two lines of archaic script and the date Banreki bo-nen shun-jitsu (on the day of Spring, the year of Tsuchinoe, Wanli period), one edge with an inscription in relief, Taigen Shinichi no sumi, the other with a seal, signed Nan'yo Kokyo, Kimura Jukkyoku with large kao. 7cm (2¾in).
