APOLLO 1 ORBITAL CHART.

"Apollo Mission Chart (AMC) 204," color Earth map, Aeronautical Chart and Information Center, first edition, December 1966, 13 x 45 inches.

Signed chart plotting the orbits of the planned AS-204 mission, retrospectively named Apollo 1. The mission was intended to be the first manned test flight of the Apollo CSM, but the tragic launch pad fire meant that this test did not take place until 18 months later, on Apollo 7.
Signed and inscribed by nine astronauts, paying tribute to the Apollo 1 crew: BUZZ ALDRIN, "With gratitude! ... Apollo XI LMP"; EDGAR MITCHELL, "Thank you ... Apollo 14 LMP"; ALAN BEAN, "They made the ultimate sacrifice for space exploration ... Apollo 12 LMP"; AL WORDEN, "We thank all the people that made the lunar flights possible ... Apollo 15 LMP"; CHARLES DUKE, "With great respect for all the sacrifices that enabled Apollo to reach the moon ... Apollo 16 LMP"; GENE CERNAN, "Never would have happened without their sacrifice ... Apollo X - XVII"; JAMES LOVELL, "Thanks for your service! ... Apollo 8, 13"; WALT CUNNINGHAM, "BU [backup] Apollo 1 / Apollo 7"; FRED HAISE, "Thanks for the great work to keep us on course! ... Apollo 13 LMP."
Apparently a proof copy, with color bars in margins and T-marks for cutting.
