STAFFORD'S LARGE RENDEZVOUS PHOTOGRAPH—CREW SIGNED.

Large color photograph, 20 x 16 inches, of an orbital view of the Gemini 7 spacecraft as seen and photographed by Tom Stafford onboard Gemini 6.

Inscribed and signed by TOM STAFFORD with: "Photo by Tom Stafford, First Space Rendezvous, 15 Dec 65." Signed and inscribed by WALLY SCHIRRA with: "Wally Schirra, performed first manned rendezvous with a photographer!"
WITH THOMAS P. STAFFORD'S signed provenance letter, reading: "The large color photograph which accompanies this letter was part of my collection of space mission photographs. I took this particular one during the earth orbital rendezvous with Gemini 7 on December 15, 1965. This was the first time manned orbital rendezvous occurred and was a critical step to enable the United States to land on the moon in 1969. Both I and the Gemini 6 commander, Wally Schirra, have signed this photograph. Wally, always known for a good 'gotcha,'did it again with his inscription of 'performed first manned rendezvous with a photographer!'"
