GEMINI MODEL WITH ASTRONAUT-SIGNED BASE.

Model of the two-man Gemini spacecraft by Precise Models for the McDonnell Aircraft Corporation of St. Louis, Missouri. Constructed from gray and white injection mold plastic, 8 inches long and 4 inches wide at the rear adaptor section. The adaptor section is detachable from the crew cabin and has multi-colored plastic parts representing fuel and oxidizer tanks, batteries, and other equipment. The model is displayed on a Lucite base with a towering arch, which is representative of the St. Louis Gateway Arch. There is a "Gemini – McDonnell" logo along the front edge of the elliptical base.

A mat board under the base has been signed by BUZZ ALDRIN, GORDON COOPER, JIM MCDIVITT, WALLY SCHIRRA, and TOM STAFFORD. Each has inscribed his Gemini flight(s) under his signatures.
