JOHNSON, Washington, September 7, 1964 to July 18, 1969, together with a Photograph Signed and Inscribed to Patsy Webb; 7 Typed Letters from LADY BIRD JOHNSON, Washington and Stonewall, Texas, March 26, 1964 to January 18, 1977, many with manuscript addenda; 5 Typed Letter Signed from HUBERT HUMPHREY, Washington, March 29, 1965 to June 24, 1969; 2 autopenned Apollo 11 crew lithographs.

Highlights from the LBJ letters: "I share your hope that NASA may steer away from 'yes men'"; "I have never been more proud of American scientific accomplishments than I am today," on the landing date of Apollo 8; a reference to Webb as "Mr Space himself," and a remark that "the success of America's space program reflects the masterful guidance of Jim Webb." Lady Bird Johnson writes to Mrs Webb that she was inspired by seeing "the significant part that women are playing in this major space effort. The visit [to MSFC] was truly a memorable experience."
