Typed Letter Signed ("John Kennedy"), 1 p, 10 x 7 inches, Washington, February 22, 1963, to James Webb ("Jim"), NASA "Received" stamp on verso, staple holes at upper left.

Kennedy thanks Webb for his work as chairman of the board that helped him to select recipients of the President's Medal for Distinguished Federal Civilian Service: "It exemplifies the high value that we attach to the encouragement of innovation, dedication, and supreme excellence of performance."
