APOLLO 11 LANDING SITE CHART.

"Julius Caesar, Lunar Shaded Relief – 60." Defense Mapping Agency for NASA with detailed legend. First edition, September 1978, 29 x 22 inches.

The 60th chart of the LSR series featuring approximately half of the Mare Tranquillitatis with the Apollo 11 landing site near the bottom center edge. Latitude and longitude are plotted down to 1/12 degree tick marks.
INSCRIBED AND SIGNED: "Tranquillity Base, July 20-21, 1969, Buzz Aldrin." He has marked the Apollo 11 landing site with an "X."
ADDITIONALLY INSCRIBED AND SIGNED by Apollo 11 Capsule Communicator (CAPCOM) Duke using his actual words transmitted to the Armstrong and Aldrin of: "Roger Tranquillity, we copy you on the ground. You've got a bunch of guys about to turn blue! We're breathing again. Thanks a lot! Charles M. Duke, Jr., Apollo 11 CAPCOM."
