MAN ON THE MOON SIGNED STAMP SHEET.

Full sheet of 10-cent "First Man on the Moon" postage stamps. Signatures slightly faded.

The four stamps in the upper left corner signed by NEIL ARMSTRONG, BUZZ ALDRIN, MICHAEL COLLINS, and WERNHER VON BRAUN. Accompanied by copies of letters from the original collector who requested the autographs in the fall of 1969, and from von Braun's secretary to Armstrong's enclosing the stamp sheet and remarking that "We just watched the Apollo 12 launching on television in Dr. von Braun's office. I think it was the most traumatic one, so far. I am sure everyone was holding their breath those anxious seconds of the 'super glitch,' as Wally Schirra called it"—probably a reference to the near-disastrous fuel cell failures shortly after lift-off.
