FIRSTS IN FLIGHT.

Fragments of material from 6 historic aircraft, each fragment approximately 6 x 4 mm, mounted together in 4 x 3 inch lucite display.

Comprising sections of fabric from: 1911 Wright Brothers Model B flyer; 1919 Curtiss NC-4 flying boat; 1924 Douglas World Cruiser no 2, "Chicago"; Howard Hughes' HK-1 flying boat "Spruce Goose." With Kapton foil from 1969 Apollo 11 Command Module, and cargo bay door insulation from the 1977 Space Shuttle Enterprise. Accompanying copies of paperwork giving provenance of each fragment.
