A Meissen crinoline group, second half 19th century
After the model by J.J Kaedler, of a lady seated on a scrolled chair, wearing a wide crinoline dress painted with sprays of flowers, she cradles a child on her knees, to her side a gentleman leans in to whisper something in her ear, all on a rockwork base applied with flowers, 17.5cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, impressed numerals 604, 131, painter's numeral 49.
