A pair of Meissen figures of a Shepherd and Shepherdess, 19th century

After models by Acier and Schönheit, the shepherd with a nest of eggs in his upturned hat, the shepherdess tying a ribbon to a lamb's neck both leaning against tree stumps, on moulded round bases picked out in gold, both figures highlighted with lace fringing, 18.5cm high, crossed swords in underglaze-blue to both, the shepherd: incised F.68., impressed 59, the shepherdess: incised F68., impressed 59, 80 (minor chips to extremities) (2)
