Two Meissen Schneeballen cups and saucers, second half 19th century

Applied in very high relief with balls of may blossom and flowers growing from gold and green leafy branches issuing from an all-over ground of individually-applied blossom florets, the cups applied with two perching yellow birds to each, all with interiors painted with flower sprigs, the cups: 6cm high, the saucers: 13.5cm diam., crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue, the saucers: impressed numeral 11 (minor chips) (4)
