A Meissen Schneeballen teapot and cover, second half 19th century

Applied in high relief with balls of may blossom and flowers growing from leafy gold and green branches, issuing from an all-over ground of individually-applied blossom florets, applied with two yellow birds, the cover with a yellow bird finial, the spout and handle moulded to simulate wood picked out in gold, 15.5cm high, crossed swords in underglaze-blue, impressed numeral 26 (very minor restoration, typical chips, one terminal of handle cracked) (2)
