A set of four Meissen figures allegorical of the Seasons, late 19th century

After models by Peter Reinecke, each standing with a putto and the relevant attributed on an elaborate gilt-edged scrollwork base raised on four scroll feet, Winter as a bearded, fur-clad man by a brazier, Autumn as a Bacchanalian figure by a wine barrel, Summer as a lady holding a sickle and wheat-sheaf, Spring holding flowers with a flower basket, 27.5cm high, crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, incised model numbers 691, 669, 674 and 688, impressed numerals, all with painter's number 34. in black (minor restoration) (4)
