After the model by J.J. Kaendler, recumbent on a rectangular cushion edged with gilt lacework and four tassels at the corners, its coat painted in shades of brown, wearing a gilt collar tooled with scrolls, indistinctly inscribed in black on the underside of the base 'Chien favori de feu S.M. l'Impératrice Catherine de Russie.', 43.3cm long, crossed swords mark in blue
