Of rectangular shape, painted with Ruth in the Cornfield after Landelle, the figure holding a wheatsheaf and standing in a field, Signed R Dittrich, titled on the reverse, 32.5cm x 19.5cm, impressed KPM and sceptre mark, impressed Sz and D, incised size marks 330-200, painted shield mark

R. Dittrich is believed to have worked as a china painter in Vienna and specialised in copies of Ruth in the Cornfield. The original painting, by Charles Landelle, is in the Shipley Art Gallery in Gateshead.
