A Marcolini Meissen figure of Juno, late 18th century, the decoration possibly later
After the model by J.F. Eberlein, standing with a golden sceptre in her right hand, the left on her hip and a peacock at her feet, wearing a purple cloak and white dress with gilt flowers, on a pedestal moulded with trophies picked out in gilding, 27.2cm high, crossed swords and asterisk mark in blue, impressed No 302 (peacock's tail feathers damaged, tiny chips)

From the series of Ovidian figures modelled by Eberlein, possibly with the assistance of Kaendler, between 1741 and 1747. A similar figure was sold at Sotheby's Olympia, 29 June 2004, lot 39.
