Footnotes
Provenance:
E.A. Titgemeyer Collection, Osnabrück
Literature:
Siegfried Ducret, Fürstenberger Porzellan (1965), II, ill. 315
A closely similar potpourri vase and cover - probably belonging to the same garniture as the present lot - is illustrated by Christian Scherer, Das Fürstenberger Porzellan (1909), ill. 28, and Ducret, op. cit., ill. 314. The model was made in three sizes and conceived as a garniture for a chimneypiece.
